I found this item of what may be jewelry or an accessory at GoodWill for fifty cents. It's a brass clip attached to a brass chain, possibly missing something on the other side. It appears to be a hand made peice, possibly in another country.

Do you know what this is or what it is used for? At least two people have said it's for attaching something to clothing and the missing item might be something like glasses, fan or other such accessory.
